The Prevention Department in consideration of the cases that have arisen in recent days in the province of Arezzo, Grosseto and Siena has intensified the activity of tracing close contacts. This activity has highlighted so far, 26 contacts for the Arezzo cases, six contacts for the Grosseto cases, 18 contacts for the Siena cases that have already been immediately placed in solitary confinement.
At this time, 2,124 people from the Local Health Authority of Southeast Tuscany are already in home isolation due to a known case contact or because they come from other countries. There are 11 hospitalized at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases of the Misericordia Hospital in Grosseto, 12 at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases and 3 in Intensive Care at the Hospital San Donato in Arezzo.
The identification of the cases and the tracing of the contacts was possible through the realization of 2,065 swabs.
