In the last 24 hours in Italy, 19,037 new positive cases of coronavirus and 459 deaths from COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, have been detected.

Those currently hospitalized are 25,986 (673 less than yesterday), of which 2,584 in intensive care units (5 less than yesterday) and 23,402 in other services (668 less than yesterday). A total of 152,334 swabs were tested. 12.5 percent of the swabs for which the report was reported were positive. Yesterday the registered infections were 18,040 and 505 deaths.

The regions that have registered the most cases in the last 24 hours are Veneto (5,010), Lombardy (2,628), Emilia Romagna (2,127), Lazio (1,691) and Puglia (1,011).
