Campania schools remain closed, even after the October 30 deadline. The meeting between the Region, the Crisis Unit, the regional school leadership, the unions and the Anci did not consider it appropriate to align Campania with the provisions of the Dpcm.

The meeting called by President Vincenzo De Luca took place with the representatives of the school world, the unions and the school leadership, with the leaders of the ASL, the Santobono hospital and the members of the Crisis Unit.

The hypothesis of resuming face-to-face teaching was faced and discussed, at least during the first two years of primary school, and epidemiological data for this and other school-age groups were illustrated. “Based on the epidemiological trend data from the Crisis Unit, ASL and Santobono, it was agreed the need to verify the situation in the next 10 days – announced the Crisis Unit – It should be monitored if there is a cooling of relative contagion to primary school as to allow a relaxation of the measures already taken, in conditions of total safety for students, staff and families ”.

Meanwhile, school projects for the weakest groups continue, to support teaching, to guarantee an extension of parental leave to parents as requested by the Government, and bonuses for the purchase of useful technologies for distance education . “It was important – said De Luca – to register a climate of great collaboration and a great sense of responsibility among all the participants in this important meeting”.

During the meeting it was expressed “the need to take advantage of these days in any case to prepare for the future, in particular in terms of public transport. President De Luca informed the participants that another 250 buses of private companies will be destined to transport with a allocation of 4 million euros, and we will also work together on new initiatives to support the world of education ”.
