Coronavirus cases increase in Sicily: 125 are those detected today, two are migrant hosts in the Lampedusa hotspot. 5169 swabs were made, up from 6,000 yesterday. The death toll is increasing, reaching 304 since the beginning of the pandemic: the latest being a 90-year-old from Salemi.
There are currently 2461 positives of which 237 are hospitalized, 16 in intensive care and 2208 in home isolation. The number of cured is also growing, + 75 compared to yesterday. (3594 in total). This is the division of the new infections by province: 56 in Palermo, 31 in Catania, 17 in Trapani, 6 in Messina, 5 in Agrigento and Caltanissetta, 3 in Syracuse and 2 in Enna.
New Covid cases on the rise in Italy: 1,786 positives today versus 1,640 yesterday, but with almost 5,000 more tampons (today 108,019). The total since the beginning of the epidemic amounts to 304,323. Deaths are also on the rise, 23 today (up from 20 yesterday), for a total of 35,781. The number of cured also continues to grow, 1097 in 24 hours (yesterday 995), which is 221,762 in total..
Today, Veneto is driving the growth of infections with 248 daily cases, followed by Lazio (230) and Lombardy (229). Even today like yesterday there is no region with zero cases. The number of positive people currently grows by another 666 (yesterday 625), for a total of 46,780.
Still Hospitalizations increase: those of the ordinary regime increase by 73 units (yesterday 54) and are 2,731, while intensive care units increase by 2 units (yesterday they were 5)and it reaches a total of 246. There are 43,803 patients in home isolation, 591 more than yesterday.
