The increase in infections in Italy remains stable. Here are today’s newsletter numbers.
The newsletter of the Ministry of Health on the progress ofcoronavirus epidemic in Italy reports that infections in the last 24 hours are 5,456, substantially similar to those of the previous bulletin. The same happens with the victims, 26, stable compared to 29 yesterday. The swabs made are 104,658.
The total number of coronavirus cases in Italy is 354,950, while the total number of victims since the start of the emergency is 36,166. A total of 239,709 people discharged and healed. The number of positive people is currently 79,075.
420 people are hospitalized in intensive care, while 4,519 are hospitalized; those who are in home isolation are 74,136.

Similar to what was observed yesterday, Lombardy is the region with the highest number of cases, more than 1000, followed by Campania. In particular, in Lombardy the percentage of positives in swabs performed jumped, equal to 6.6%, a clear increase compared to yesterday (4.9%). Here’s why it’s important.
