There are 107 new cases of Covid-19 in Sicily which brings the number of current infected to 2,656: 268 hospitalized with symptoms, 14 in intensive care (+1) and 2,377 in home isolation. The deceased grows: 308, two more than yesterday. A victim weather in Sciacca, the other in Messina, with a 78-year-old woman (originally from Calatabiano), who suffered from serious previous pathologies, who tested positive in the emergency room of the Piedmont hospital in Messina, who died in the Polyclinic, where she had been hospitalized since the past 16 of September.
There are 6,683 cases in total, 3,726 discharged cured, with an increase in swabs performed equal to 4,202. The Sicilian Region has announced that of the 107 new positive cases today, 7 are migrants from the Lampedusa hotspot.
Stays apparently stable the rise of coronavirus infections in Italy. The Ministry of Health bulletin shows that 1,766 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, compared to 1,869 yesterday, but with almost 20,000 fewer tampons (84,714 today). The victims are 17 like the previous day, for a total of 35,835. The total number of infected people, including victims and cured, amounts to 309,870. Only Valle d’Aosta has zero new cases.
