ASL Roma 2 in second place with the “COVID19. We assist you with great care ”among the three best excellences in the Italian healthcare scene in the Lean Projects category. The health company was awarded for having created a new organizational model for the territorial response to COVID19. The ASL Roma 2 has also won, with this project, the prize of special categories to the “Project of greater complexity”.

On November 19, the final of the III Edition of the Lean Health Award took place, the award for the best reorganization projects in the world of Health and Life Sciences. The contest is organized by Fiaso, Federsanità Anci, Aiop, Telos Management Consulting and the University of Siena with the sponsorship of Farmindustria, Confindustria Medical Devices, IN.GE.SAN, SIMM, AOPI, SIFO and is today one of the most prestigious awards for Public and Private Healthcare Companies and Companies belonging to the Pharma and Medical Devices sectors. Among the novelties of this edition, there was the possibility of competing in two different categories: Lean projects already implemented (Lean Projects) and ideas from recently started projects (Lean Ideas).

The project “We help you with care” was developed and implemented by the Roma 2 Local Health Authority, in line with the indications of the Lazio Region to strengthen the primary care system, in the first pandemic wave in order to organize a timely and coordinated response to assistance situations in cases of people positive for SARS-CoV2 infection or emerging outbreaks in different healthcare settings and in different territorial social contexts ”.

Among the elements that characterized the territorial response to COVID-19, the early interception of need (pull logic) and proximity interventions according to the Health Population Management (HPM) model, with special attention to vulnerable population groups and fragile; the homogeneity of the response throughout the company’s territory: 6 districts for 1,300,000 inhabitants + non-resident foreign population; integration and coordination and centralization of activities according to the logic of Patient Experience Management.
