There are 80 new cases of coronavirus in Puglia, of which 25 in the province of Bari and 24 in that of Taranto, also due to the outbreak in the Ginosa Marina rsa. The region of Apulia communicates this in the usual epidemiological bulletin: yesterday 3886 smears were analyzed and the positivity is divided in this way; 25 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of Brindisi; 12 in the BAT province, 13 in the Foggia province, 1 in the Lecce province, 24 in the Taranto province, 3 outside the region.
Three deaths were recorded: 1 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of Lecce.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 316,840 tests have been carried out. 4,078 patients are cured and 986 are currently positive cases.
The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 5,624, divided as follows: 1,989 in the province of Bari; 461 in the province of Bat; 708 in the province of Brindisi; 1,399 in the province of Foggia; 676 in the province of Lecce; 347 in the province of Taranto; 43 attributed to residents outside the region; 1 province of unknown residence (2 cases removed from the database).
The APL prevention departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.

Declaration Dg Asl Bari, Antonio Sanguedolce: “Today the Prevention Department has detected 25 cases of positivity to the Sars-Cov2 virus. These are, in particular, 20 close contacts of cases already known and under surveillance, 2 returns from Albania, 2 from Sardinia and 1 from Calabria ”.
Statement by Dg Asl Brindisi Giuseppe Pasqualone: ”There are two cases registered in the province of Brindisi. The first is a close contact of a case proven in recent days, while the second is still being verified.”
Statement from Dg Asl Bt, Alessandro Delle Donne: “There are 12 positives registered today in the province of Bat. Of these, 1 comes from Sardinia, 1 from Greece, 1 has been hospitalized, 8 are close contacts of positive cases registered in recent days, while epidemiological investigations by the Department of Prevention are underway on a last case ”.
Declaration of the Dg of Asl Foggia, Vito Piazzolla: “Today, in the province of Foggia, the Hygiene service has identified 13 new positive cases. In detail, these are: 4 contacts of cases already traced, 2 foreign citizens present in the provincial territory; 4 people identified during the pre-hospital screening activity; 2 people returned from Malta and Umbria respectively, 1 symptomatic person “.
Declaration of Dg. Asl Lecce, Rodolfo Rollo: “The case registered today by our Prevention Department refers to a resident of the province on whom epidemiological investigations are being carried out.”
Declaration Dg Asl Taranto, Stefano Rossi: “The cases in the province of Taranto are: one refers to a person hospitalized in the infectious ward of the Moscati hospital, with specific symptoms; 3 are asymptomatic subjects already observed by the prevention department; 20 cases (between guests and internal staff) of a nursing home in the province. Following what was found at the RSA, the Prevention Department immediately activated detection on all guests and employees of the facility. The situation is constantly monitored by specialists and ASL inspectors who monitor and reconstruct the contacts of the social relationships of the positive subjects, in order to contain the infection ”.
