Coronavirus, 572 new infections and 13 deaths in Fvg

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 572 new infections have been detected, compared to 6,171 swabs performed, and 13 deaths from Covid-19.

They are 95 years, 91 years and 85 years of Tarcento who died in an Asp; a 90-year-old man from Lestizza who died in hospital; a 90-year-old woman from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 90 year old from Ampezzo, who died in the hospital, a 90 year old from Maniago who died in the hospital; an 87-year-old woman from San Vito al Tagliamento who died in hospital; an 86-year-old man from Martignacco who died in hospital; an 83-year-old man from Trieste who died in hospital, a 75-year-old man from Trieste who died in hospital, a 63-year-old man from San Vito al Tagliamento who died in hospital and a 55-year-old man from Pordenone who died in hospital. This was announced by the Lieutenant Governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo riccardi.

The number of positives rises slightly from 482 yesterday (compared to 6,438 validated tests), although it stayed far from the last absolute ‘peak’, on Saturday 7 November, with 872 new cases, but also a record number of tests (8,629).

Unfortunately, the death toll remains high, which brings us back to the hardest moment of the first phase of the pandemic, between March and April. 13 deaths is the third worst figure in absolute terms, after the new sad record registered yesterday (20 deaths) and that of April 20, when the victims were 14 in the space of 24 hours.

The current cases of infection are 8,285. The number of patients in intensive care has dropped to 46 (yesterday they were 47), while the number of hospitalized patients in other departments amounts to 346, ten more than the last bulletin. The deaths totaled 489, with the following territorial subdivision: 239 in Trieste, 126 in Udine, 111 in Pordenone and 13 in Gorizia.

People who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 16,102, of which: 4,778 in Trieste, 6,414 in Udine, 2,977 in Pordenone and 1,732 in Gorizia, plus 201 people from outside the region.

There are 7,328 totally cured, 120 clinically cured and 7,773 isolated people.

Regarding the new positivity to the virus, in the sector of nursing homes 65 cases of people housed in regional structures were detected, while there are a total of 14 infected operators.

In front of the Regional health system (Ssr) the positivity for Covid of six nurses, a technician, a doctor and an Oss who will be registered with the health authority of the Friuli Centrale university; in the West Friuli health authority: two nurses and a midwife; in the Giuliano Isontina University Sanitary Company: two nurses, an administrative assistant, a health assistant and a doctor. Also noteworthy are the cases of an assistant, a technician and a doctor from Irccs Burlo Garofolo in Trieste and a nurse from Cro de Aviano.

Relative to schools The following infections are recorded: a student from Dante secondary school in Trieste, one from Nazario Sauro primary school in Trieste, two students from the University of Trieste, one from Vittorino da Feltre primary school in Sacile, one from secondary school Marconi de Maniago, a teacher at the Fiume Veneto kindergarten and a student at Don Bosco Middle School in Pordenone.

Finally, the virus positivity of two people who returned from abroad (Romania and the Netherlands) must be registered.

NATIONAL DATA: There are 32,961 new infections, compared to 225,640 swabs; the victims are 623 and the total amounts to 42,953. More than three thousand patients in intensive care. In Lombardy there are 8,180 cases, 3,166 in Campania, 3,082 in Veneto, 2,953 in Piedmont, 2,507 in Tuscany, 2,479 in Lazio, 2,428 in Emilia-Romagna, 1,487 in Sicily, 1,332 in Apulia and 1,102 in Liguria. As of today, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Liguria, Tuscany and Umbria have entered the orange zone.
