Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 554 new infections have been detected – 9.45 percent of the 5,864 swabs made – and 26 deaths from Covid-19. Of the new positives, 117 refer to previous tests conducted in private laboratories from October 21 to November 21. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.
The percentage of positives decreases in relation to the tests carried out (yesterday was al 12.93 percent on 2,916 swabs), while the number of victims is not reduced, even today very close to the negative record of November 20, when the deaths related to Covid were 28.
The current cases of infection are 13,615. The number of patients in intensive care treatment is reduced to 54 (one less) and 561 (four less) hospitalized patients in other departments. The deaths totaled 699, with the following territorial subdivision: 282 in Trieste, 232 in Udine, 158 in Pordenone and 27 in Gorizia. The totally cured are 11,275, the clinically cured 268 and the isolated 12,732.
The people who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to a total of 25,589, of which: 6,387 in Trieste, 10,951 in Udine, 4,863 in Pordenone and 3,063 in Gorizia, plus 325 people from outside the region.
The victims. Among the 26 deaths is a 96-year-old woman from Palmanova who died in a nursing home; a 95-year-old woman from Cordenons who died in hospital; a 94-year-old woman from Ovaro who passed away at RSA (who passed away previously but is now registered in the system); a 93-year-old woman from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 92-year-old woman from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 92-year-old woman from Trieste who died in a nursing home; an 89-year-old man from Udine who died in a retirement home; an 89-year-old man from Gorizia who died in hospital; an 89-year-old woman from Tarcento who died in hospital; an 88-year-old man from San Canzian d’Isonzo who died in a nursing home; an 88-year-old man from Claut who died in hospital; an 88-year-old man and an 80-year-old man from Martignacco who died in hospital; an 85-year-old woman from Trieste who died in RSA; an 84-year-old man from Trieste who died in hospital; an 84-year-old Trieste woman who died in hospital; an 83-year-old woman from Resia who died at RSA; an 81-year-old woman from Rivignano-Teor who died in hospital; an 80-year-old man from Romans d’Isonzo who died in hospital; an 80-year-old man from Udine who died in hospital; a 79-year-old man from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 78-year-old man from Castions di Strada who died in RSA (previously deceased but registered in the system today); a 76-year-old woman from Pasian di Prato who died in hospital; a 76-year-old man from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 73-year-old woman from San Giovanni al Natisone who died in hospital and a 68-year-old woman from Gorizia who died in RSA.
Regarding the new positivity to the virus, in the sector of nursing homes 57 cases of people housed in regional structures were detected, while the health workers who were infected within the same structures are in total 21.
In front of the Regional health system (Ssr) the positivity for Covid of two doctors, three nurses, six health social workers, an administrative assistant, a rehabilitation therapist and an occupational therapist to be registered with the health authority of the Friuli Centrale university; three doctors, seven nurses, five Oss, an administrative, two technicians, a psychologist and a manager of the Friuli Occidentale health agency; in the Giuliano Isontina university health company of two doctors, three nurses and a technician. Also noteworthy are the positive results of a resident doctor and a technician at Cro in Aviano and two doctors and an administrative officer at Irccs Burlo Garofolo in Trieste.
Finally, a person who has returned from Romania should be positive for the virus.
