Coronavirus, 536 new infections and ten deaths in Fvg

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 536 new infections have been detected (9.04 percent of the 5,926 swabs made) and ten deaths from Covid-19.

This is a 96-year-old woman from Tarcento who died in a nursing home; a 94-year-old man from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 90-year-old man from Pordenone who died in hospital; an 89-year-old man from Forni di Sotto who died in hospital; a 77-year-old Milan who died in the Udine hospital; a 74-year-old man from Talmassons who died in hospital; a 74-year-old man from Marano Lagunare who died in hospital; a 72-year-old from Porpetto who died in hospital; a 70-year-old Tarcento who died in a nursing home and a 66-year-old woman from San Giorgio della Richinvelda who died in hospital. This was announced by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.

The percentage of new positives has decreased compared to the previous days (Sunday was 13.50% in 4,505 tests, Monday 13.37% in 3,411 swabs), while the number of deaths remains in the double figures.

The current cases of infection are 10,584. The number of patients in intensive care has dropped to 44 (three less than yesterday), while the number of hospitalized in other departments rises to 454 (47 more than in the last bulletin). The total deaths amounted to 556, with the following territorial subdivision: 252 in Trieste, 155 in Udine, 131 in Pordenone and 18 in Gorizia.

The totally cured are 8,789, the clinically cured 163 and the isolated 9,923.

A total of 19,929 people who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic, of which: 5,447 in Trieste, 8,116 in Udine, 3,821 in Pordenone and 2,296 in Gorizia, in addition to 249 people from outside the region.

In the nursing home sector, 135 cases of people housed in regional structures have been detected, while there are nine health workers who have been infected within the same structures.

Regarding the regional health system (SSR), the positivity for Covid of a doctor, nine nurses, two health social workers, a dietician, four administrators and an ambulance driver must be registered with the health authority of the Friuli Centrale University; seven nurses, five Oss and a physiotherapist from the West Friuli health authority; in the health company of Giuliano Isontina University of three doctors, six nurses, an Oss and an assistant. The case of a nurse from Cro de Aviano also stands out.

With regard to schools, the infection of a student of Isis Lino Zanussi from Pordenone was recorded.
