Coronavirus: 504 hospitalizations between Monza and Desio and open dialogue to support the armed forces, 190 patients in Vimercate

The pressure on the Brianza hospitals continues to be high: dialogue was opened with the Region in Monza to have the support of the Armed Forces, in Vimercate the situation in recent days seems to suggest some stability.

Asst Monza reports that the hospitalized patients, as of Monday, November 16, are a total of 504 (485 on Friday, November 13): 381 in San Gerardo di Monza of which 37 in intensive care; 123 in the Desio hospital of which 11 in intensive care.

The operational balance of the hospital continues to be problematic and for this reason the hospital is evaluating, together with the Lombardy Region, “the concrete hypotheses of support to the armed forces with which we have made the first contacts,” he explains in a note.

Strong pressure on the health organization also in the Vimercate hospital, which has 190 hospitalized patients, but confirms the figure practically unchanged in the last two days.

However, two days the number of hospitalized patients stood at 190. A similar stable trend in the emergency room with 10 patients awaiting hospitalization on Sunday and 9 on Monday. There were 8 patients in intensive care on Sunday.

The photograph of the admissions, on Friday: mean age of the patients 66.7 years, in the intensive care unit 63.6 years. 65% of hospitalized patients are male in the White Tulip, Red Tulip, White Rose and Yellow Rose wards. While 90% of the patients in intensive care were men and 10% women.
