Coronavirus, 38 positive in 24 hours. Barletta exceeds 20 infections

The president of the Puglia Region, based on information from the director of the Health Promotion Department, Vito Montanaro, informs that today, Monday, August 31, 2020 in Puglia, they have registered 1,974 tests for Covid-19 coronavirus infection and have been recorded 38 positive cases:

• 28 in the province of Bari,
• 2 in the BAT province,
• 6 in the province of Foggia,
• 1 in the province of Lecce,
• 1 out of the region.

NO deaths were recorded.

Since the beginning of the emergency, 305,020 tests have been carried out.
4,040 are the recovered patients.
844 are currently positive cases.

The total of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 5,440, divided as follows:

• 1,890 in the province of Bari;
• 442 in the province of Bat;
• 706 in the province of Brindisi;
• 1,377 in the province of Foggia;
• 670 in the province of Lecce;
• 313 in the province of Taranto;
• 39 attributed to residents outside the region;
• 3 province of unknown residence.

Asl’s prevention departments have activated all procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.

Statement from the Dg of ASL Bari, Antonio Sanguedolce: “Today we registered 28 cases of positivity to SARS – CoV-2 in the province of Bari, of which 15 are close contacts of cases already traced by the Prevention Department, 3 returns of Sardinia, 9 positive in the depth phase and 1 case found in the emergency triage activity “.

Statement by Alessandro Delle Donne, General Manager of Asl Bt: “There are 2 cases registered today in the Bat province, epidemiological investigations are being carried out in both to verify the origin of the infection.”

Statement from the general director of the ASL Foggia, Vito Piazzolla: “The new positivity to COVID 19 registered in the province of Foggia in the last 24 hours is 6 in total. These are 2 foreign citizens present in the provincial territory and 4 contacts from cases already identified and traced by the company’s hygiene service. All are already subject to voluntary active health surveillance. “
