Genoa. I am 340 new cases of coronavirus registered in Liguria by the latest Alisa / Region bulletin for the Ministry of Health. The data refer to the execution of 4,707 molecular swabs, while antigenic tests were 4,095.

The positivity rate compared to oropharyngeal (molecular) swabs is 7.2%, confirming the downward trend in the number of Covid infections

Here is the detail:
• IMPERIA (Asl 1): 35
• SAVONA (Asl 2): 37

GENOA: 176, of which:
Asl 3: 132
Asl 4:44

• LA SPEZIA (Asl 5): 73
Not attributable to residence in Liguria: 19

The death toll is still high, still high, 25 those registered in the last 24 hours, relative to the days from November 24 to December 10. The youngest of the deceased was a 61-year-old man., in treatment at San Martino di Genova.

There are 20 less hospitalized patients and therefore the total falls below 900, reaching 887 hospitalized people. There are 84 patients in intensive carea, one less than yesterday.

Active cases of coronavirus in Liguria are currently 8,783, 200 less than yesterday also taking into account deaths and 515 cured with double swabs in the last 24 hours. Of these 4,903 are in the province of Genoa. In active surveillance they remain 7,325 people, of which 3,383 in the ASL3 area.

“While we must always keep our attention and abide by all the good rules we have set for ourselves, this can only be great news! Think that at the peak of mid-November we reached 1600 occupied beds, which in less than a month are practically reduced by half – says Governor Giovanni Toti – Unfortunately the number of people who cry every day is still too high, and that is why we must be rigorous and not proclaim ourselves victorious in a health emergency of this magnitude. But it is also right to thank all the Ligurians for the efforts and sacrifices they are making and contributing to these results. And take advantage, once again that is never enough, to thank our health professionals who, at all levels, have been working on the front line against Covid for months. Now let’s get ready to spend Christmas safely, staying close to our traditions, and we await news from Rome, hoping that Italian families can unite without discrimination between those who live in big cities and those who live in small towns. Courage, wars are not won here, but by dint of winning many small battles I am sure we can do it ”.
