TUSCANY – There are 517 more positives than yesterday, out of a total, since the beginning of the epidemic, which is equivalent to 110,440 units. New cases are 0.5% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of the 517 cases at present is around 49 years (12% are under 20, 23% between 20 and 39, 33% between 40 and 59, 20% between 60 and 79, 12% have 80 years or older).
Those cured grew 3.3% and reached 85,076 (77% of all cases). The swabs made reached 1,680,849, 9,577 more than yesterday, of which 5.4% positive. Instead, 3,182 subjects were tested today (excluding control swabs), of which 16.2% were positive. To these are added the 3,696 rapid antigenic swabs that are carried out today. Today there are 75 new deaths: 46 men and 29 women with an average age of 82.7 years. Regarding the province of residence, the deceased are: 14 in Florence, 2 in Prato, 7 in Pistoia, 5 in Massa-Carrara (4 men of 87, 89, 83 and 81 years old and a woman of 83), 8 in Lucca, 10 in Pisa, 1 in Livorno, 19 in Arezzo, 3 in Siena, 2 in Grosseto, 4 residents outside of Tuscany.
Some of the deaths reported to the offices of the Region in the last 24 hours refer to deaths that occurred in previous days / periods: a total of 45 of the total of 75 deaths at present.
These are the data – verified at 12 noon today based on requests from the National Civil Protection – related to the advance of the epidemic in the region.

There are 267 cases found today in the Central Local Health Authority, 203 in the Northwest, 47 in the Southeast.
Tuscany ranks 10th in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with approximately 2,961 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average of 2,933 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces with the highest notification rate are Prato with 3,783 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Pisa with 3,668, Massa Carrara with 3,609, and the lowest Siena with 1,669.
In total, 20,762 people are isolated at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not have symptoms (2,243 less than yesterday, less 9.8%). There are 29,909 (185 less than yesterday, less 0.6%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance, for having had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 9,558, Northwest 15,078, Southeast 5,273).
The people admitted to the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 1,570 (30 less than yesterday, less 1.9%), 247 in intensive care (6 less than yesterday, less 2.4%).
In total there are 85,076 people cured (2,715 more than yesterday, more 3.3%): 456 clinically cured people (18 more than yesterday, more 4.1%), that is, they became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with infection and 84,620 (2,697 more than yesterday, plus 3.3%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with negative swab.
3,032 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 1,071 in Florence, 212 in Prato, 236 in Pistoia, 336 in Massa Carrara, 278 in Lucca, 328 in Pisa, 221 in Livorno, 160 in Arezzo, 92 in Siena , 69 in Grosseto, 29 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 81.3 x 100,000 residents versus 102.3 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (172.4 x 100 000), Florence (105.9 x 100 000) and Prato (82.3 x 100 000), the lowest in Grosseto (31.1 x 100,000).

Regarding hospitalizations for “Covid-19”, in the hospitals of the USL Toscana Northwest company there are a total of 464 (yesterday there were 469), of which 54 (yesterday were 58) in intensive care. 86 patients in Livorno hospital, 12 of them in intensive care. In the Lucca hospital 89 patients, 16 of them in intensive care. At the Apuane hospital, 97 hospitalized patients (stable compared toeri), of which 14 in intensive care (stable). In the hospital of Versilia 100 hospitalized, of which 6 in intensive care. In the Pontedera hospital 45 patients, 3 of them in intensive care.
