Coronavirus, 24 new cases in Calabria: 20 are migrants

There are 24 new coronavirus infections in Calabria as reported in the bulletin published by the Region. In Calabria to date, 186,032 smears have been made. The people who tested positive for the coronavirus are 1,868 (+24 compared to yesterday), the negative ones are 184,164.

Territorially, the positive cases are distributed as follows: Catanzaro: 11 in the pavilion; 1 in intensive care; 60 in home isolation; 190 recovered; 33 deceased. Cosenza: 9 in the pavilion; 3 in intensive care; 108 in home isolation; 476 cured; 34 deceased. Reggio Calabria: 7 in the room; 108 in home isolation; 316 recovered; 19 deceased. Crotone: 20 in home isolation; 117 recovered; 6 deceased. Vibo Valentia: 2 in the room; 14 in home isolation; 85 recovered; 5 deceased. Another Region or Foreign State: 244 (the total also includes the deceased in the Cosenza intensive care unit who was a resident outside the region).

Hospitalized patients from the “Outside the region” setting (8) and migrants (1) were included in the counts of the respective wards. In total, there are 11 hospitalizations in the Catanzaro hospital, 5 of which refer to non-residents. 9 are admitted to the AO of Cosenza; of these three are “non-residents”, while the patient discharged from Cosenza was placed in the “out of region” setting. The total number of Catanzaro cases includes subjects from other structures who have been discharged over time. Three cases of Catanzaro date back to a known outbreak. In Cosenza, to date, there are 18 new cases, all immigrants from the Tyrrhenian district. The two positives from Reggio Calabria are also migrants.

Since the last survey, a total of 749 people registered on the Calabria Region portal to communicate their presence in the regional territory. The count also includes the two patients from Bergamo transferred to Catanzaro, while the numbers from contagion received after the communication of the data to National Civil Protection.
