From Monday until today, 56,436 new cases have been registered, while in the same period last week there were more than 70 thousand. Two weeks ago, between November 16 and 18, they reached 93,827. Figures that confirm an improvement trend, as also confirmed by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza in the course of its disclosure to the Chambers. The truth is, he warned, that these are still high figures and that “new limitations” will be needed during the Christmas holidays so as not to frustrate the efforts made so far.
From the beginning of the pandemic until today, citizens have tested positive COVID-19 there are 1,641,610, while deaths have reached 57,045. With 38,740 other patients cured or downloaded of hospitals, the total amounts to 823,335. There are currently 761,230 people still positive, of which 118,796 in Lombardy and 102,495 in Campania. Of these, 725,160 are in isolation at home, while 32,454 are hospitalized in Covid wards. For 3,616 patients it was necessary to resort to intensive care.
