There are 1698 new positives in the coronavirus epidemic in Sicily in the last 24 hours, with 39 victims (971 since the beginning of the pandemic). Registry of swabs: 10774, with an incidence of cases of 15.76%, lower than yesterday when it had exceeded 17% and slightly higher than the current national incidence (15.44%). The good news is the minimal increase in hospitalizations: four in the ordinary regimen (1505 in total) and the same number in intensive care (227).
With the new cases, the current positives amount to 30,756 with an increase of 991. In home isolation there are 29,024. 668 were cured. The new positives were distributed as follows by province: Palermo 543, Catania 456, Ragusa 214, Messina 184, Trapani 46, Siracusa 48, Agrigento 81, Caltanissetta 67, Enna 59.
However, the Covid 19 infection curve in Italy rises again after yesterday’s contraction linked to the lower number of tampons made on holidays: the new cases registered in the last 24 hours, according to the update of the Ministry of Health, are 32,191 (yesterday + 27,354), for a total of 1,238,072 since the beginning of the emergency. The swabs performed were 208,458 (yesterday 152,663), for a positive / swab rate of 15.4%. The number of victims is high, 731 (the highest since April 3, yesterday they were 504), for a total of 46,464. In the hospital setting, the number of hospitalized patients amounts to 33,074 (+538), of which 3,612 (+120) in intensive care. In home isolation they are found in 697,124.
