Today 167 new Covid-19 infections have been detected in Friuli Venezia Giulia against 4,340 swabs made. There were no deaths. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.
A total of 6,260 people tested positive for the virus in the region since the start of the pandemic, of which: 2,079 in Trieste, 2,160 in Udine, 1,319 in Pordenone and 668 in Gorizia, in addition to 34 people from outside the region.
The current cases of infection are 1,966; today they registered 53 positives in Trieste, 58 in Udine, 37 in Pordenone, 16 in Gorizia, plus three people from outside the region. The number of patients in intensive care has increased to 13 and 49 hospitalized in other wards. The deaths totaled 359, with the following territorial subdivision: 198 in Trieste, 79 in Udine, 73 in Pordenone and nine in Gorizia.
The totally cured are 3,935, the clinically cured 27 and the isolated 1,877.
In the detail of the cases, with regard to nursing homes, the positive results of Covid di a guest and an operator in Trieste, in addition to that of a another operator in Artegna.
In the health field, coronavirus infections of two health aides from the Prevention Department of Udine and a doctor from Pordenone.
In the front of the school they were found positive for the swab: student of the G.D’Annunzio-M.Fabiani Institute of Gorizia, five from the Integral Institute of Porcia (of which two in elementary school), two from the professional institute F. Flora de Pordenone, two from the G.Roli comprehensive school in Trieste and one from the E.Tarabocchia primary school of the Roiano Getta comprehensive school in Trieste.
Regarding the case of two students from the Instituto Staranzano integral who tested positive on October 15, after quick examination of the swabs, all classmates and teachers test negative.
Finally, it is worth highlighting the positivity of a priest from Monfalcone.
NATIONAL DATA. In Italy, 10,925 new infections have been registered today, a new daily record, compared to 165,837 swabs performed, also this record number. There are 47 deaths. The highest figure by region is still Lombardy (2,664), followed by Campania (1,410), while all other regions are below 1,000.
