Today coronavirus infections in Italy detected by a positive swab are 1,444 (compared to 1,462 yesterday). However, only one victim, after 9am yesterday. New record for tampons reaching 100,000 (99,108). Positive / swab ratio 1.45% (yesterday 1.50%). Total coronavirus cases in Italy now stand at 266,853 and victims at 35,473. There are currently 23,156 positive people, an increase of 121 in 24 hours.

ICU patients rise 5 units to 79, the second consecutive day of increase after yesterday’s increase of 7. There were more than 4,000 in early April, at the peak of the epidemic. The number of hospitalized patients with symptoms decreased by 10 (1,168), while the number of patients in home isolation increased by 126 (21,909 in total).

New cases especially in: Lombardia 289; Campania 188; Lazio 171; Veneto 151; Emilia Romagna 149; Tuscany 92; Piedmont 90; Sardinia 70; Puglia 65; Liguria 47. In Lombardy, the ratio between the number of new swabs and the positive ones found is 1.54%. There are 18 (+1) hospitalized in intensive care, 185 (+13) who are not in intensive care, while there were no deaths (general total: 16,860).
