There are 135 new positive cases in Lombardy in the last 24 hours, 19 in Bergamo, the swabs performed were 9,866 for a total of 1,596,833. Two deaths were reported on Monday, August 31 for a total of 16,865 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Increase in cured and discharged (+10) and zero infections in Mantua. Against 9,866 swabs performed, 135 new positives were found. The ratio between the number of new swabs and the positive ones found is 1.36%.
“We recall that the increase in positive cases, in Lombardy as in other regions, must always be related to the number of swabs performed. Without ever forgetting that, if we think in terms of absolute comparisons, the number of inhabitants of Lombardy is equal to 1/6 of the national population ”, explains Pirellone.
