TRENTO. Unfortunately there are another death in Trentino due to Covid-19, the tragic number of victims this week amounts to 10 victims, while there are 11 deaths in two weeks and 481 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic. It is confirmed that this phase of the emergency is particularly delicate since there have been 111 new positives in the last 24 hours. There are currently 50 classes under quarantine measures. This is the update of the Province and the Provincial Health Services Agency today, Friday, October 16, on the front of the coronavirus emergency.

The absolute number is in line with what was communicated yesterday. The epidemiological curve continues, unfortunately, showing significant values. Have been analyzed 2,376 molecular swabs (1,177 read by the microbiology laboratory of the Santa Chiara de Trento hospital and 1,199 by the Mach Foundation), 111 tests were positive for an infection / smear ratio of 4.67%. The Province has decided to change the communication method again to provide only molecular swab confirmed cases. The positivity revealed by the antigen must be confirmed by molecular smear.

exist 33 people in the Trento and Rovereto hospitals, no one is in the intensive care unit, but 4 people use high intensity. Among the 111 cases that were positive in the molecular smear, 9 infected are between 0 and 5 years old and 13 infected between 6 and 15 years, while up to 29 infections have been registered in the group of more than 70 years.

There is a resurgence of the epidemic throughout the country, as well as in that regional. Today in South Tyrol they communicated 128 new positives in South Tyrol. A situation that marks a new surpassing of the data registered on October 14: cases had stopped in 124 infected for a figure higher than march peak (Here article). In just three days, the Province of Bolzano thus communicates 350 infections to Covid-19 between today, yesterday 98 (here article) and those of last Wednesday.

The last day they were analyzed 1,573 swabs and the contagion / buffer ratio is 5.95%, but if we take into account that 1,081 people were tested, one citizen in 10 has contracted the virus in these hours. The number of people who are in quarantine goes up again: 3,655 citizens. At the provincial level in the province of Bolzano, 196,147 swabs from the beginning of the epidemic onwards 103,548 people.
