Covid Italia, today’s newsletter, September 15, 2020. There are 1,229 new coronavirus infections in Italy, 221 more than yesterday, when 1,008 were registered. The victims are 9 (yesterday there were 14), while those cured more than double: 695 in 24 hours (yesterday 316). This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The swabs processed nearly doubled: 80,517 versus 45,309. Among the most affected regions, Lombardy (176 positive cases) followed by Liguria (141) and Lazio (139). Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Campania also register more than 100 new infections. No region of case zero. There are 201 patients in intensive care, 4 more than yesterday.

The infected currently number 39,712 (+525) with 2,222 hospitalized patients with symptoms (+100) and 201 in intensive care (+4). 37,289 people (+421) are in home isolation, while 695 patients have been discharged from hospitals or healed for a total of 214,645.

Lombardy
With a high number of swabs performed (19,399), there are 176 positive cases in Lombardy for a percentage equal to 0.9%, less than yesterday (1.57%). There are two deaths for a total of 16,903 deaths in the region since the start of the pandemic. One more hospitalization both in intensive care: (29 in total), and in other wards (263). The province of Milan continues to be the most affected with 90 new positives, of which 46 in the city of Milan, followed by Monza and Brianza (20) and Brescia (16).
The positive trend in cures / discharges (+223) is confirmed. The number of swabs performed was high (19,399). There are 176 positive cases for a percentage equal to 0.9%.

In Lazio, there are 139 new positive cases of Covid-19 today, of which 74 in Rome. Also, there are 2 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Emilia romagna
There are 125 new positives for Covid-19 in Emilia-Romagna, of which 64 are asymptomatic, while one person has died in the last 24 hours: a 79-year-old woman residing in the Parma area. Of the new cases, 55 were already isolated at the time of swabbing and 71 were identified in the context of known outbreaks, 18 infections linked to returns from abroad, two from other regions. The average age of new positives is 36 years. The highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Modena (38), Bologna (23), Reggio Emilia (16), Rimini (12) and Forlì (16). There are no new positives in Ferrara and in the Imola area. The swabs performed are 9,885, plus 2,921 serological tests. Active cases are 4,102 (+38), people in isolation are 3,917 (+36), always 95%, while patients in intensive care are 17 (-1) and hospitalized in other rooms of Covid 168 (+3). The total number of people healed reached 25,184 (+86).
Campania
136 new cases of coronavirus in Campania emerged today from the analysis of 3,895 swabs. The total of positives since the beginning of the emergency in Campania is 9,351, while the total of swabs analyzed is 505,463. There are no new deaths (the total is still 452) while there are 60 new cured: the total cured is 4,819 (of which 4,815 are completely cured and 4 are clinically recovered).
Veneto
There are 115 more cases of coronavirus in Veneto than yesterday, bringing the total to 24,979 since the start of the pandemic. This was announced by the regional bulletin. There are 2 other deaths, with a total of 2,146. Currently the positive subjects are 2,984 and 7,186 people are in fiduciary isolation, of which 169 positive. In hospitals, there are 154 patients hospitalized in non-critical wards, of which 102 are positive; intensive care registers 21 hospitalized, of which 15 positive.
Puglia
In Puglia, 76 new Covid-19 cases were found out of a total of 4,677 swabs, a record number of swabs processed in one day. These are the data from the regional bulletin. In relation to the number of tests, the number of infections decreases. These are mainly close contacts of positive people, therefore detected with epidemiological surveillance and tracking. The new cases are 34 in the province of Bari, 5 in the province of Barletta Andria Trani, 26 in the province of Foggia, 1 in the province of Lecce, 10 in the province of Taranto, none in Brindisi. A person hospitalized in the province of Taranto died.
Piedmont
The number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 has risen to 33,853 in Piedmont. There are 39 more than yesterday (of which 25 asymptomatic; imported cases are 10). These are the data reported today by the Region: 4,257 infected in Alessandria, 1,935 Asti, 1,098 Biella, 3,252 Cuneo, 3,135 Novara, 16,867 Turin, 1,616 Vercelli, 1,202 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 289 residents outside the region, but in charge of the structures Piedmontese health systems. The remaining 202 cases are pending and territorial assignment. There are 8 hospitalized in intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 112 (-2 compared to yesterday).
