confinement and distance learning, which changes

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte signed the new Dpcm overnight. This will involve additional restrictions to limit the spread of the coronavirus infection in the country with new rules that will be applied differently locally depending on the level of criticality of individual regions. The new measures will be formalized by ordinance of the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and must come into effect from tomorrow, Thursday, November 5, until December 3. As for Lombardy, where the situation is one of the worst in terms of transmission of the infection, the so-called “red zone” will be created.

What changes in Lombardy between the red zone and the closure

This will result in limited travel to and from the region and within it as well. As during last spring, it will be possible to leave home only with self-certification and for work and health reasons. Bars and restaurants will be closed, as well as all stores that do not sell basic necessities, food and tobacco. Unlike the latest draft, hair salons will remain open while beauty centers will be forced to close. Outdoor sports activities will be allowed, while gyms and swimming pools will not reopen for the time being, as well as cinemas and theaters will remain closed. As for the school, distance learning will proceed from the second grade, while the primary and sixth grade children will continue with the lessons in presence and will be asked to use the mask even at their desk. The restrictions will last for a month and will end on December 3. The new Dpcm should appear tomorrow in the Official Gazette, then presumably it will be explained once more by President Conte.
