CNPS, chaos of school rankings in Milan. The teachers are not in the chair yet!

CNPS Press Release – Since the day of the publication of the new provincial rankings there is no peace for the school, the NEW PROVINCIAL CLASSIFICATIONS strongly desired by Minister Azzolina have thrown school administrators, students, families and left thousands of teachers into chaos precarious workers without a contract who, like every year, are hired in September to be fired in June or August.

The situation is particularly critical in Milan, where error-ridden rankings were published late on 7 September. Many professors with many years of service have been surpassed in the ranking by university scholars without any day of service or by colleagues inserted in the first band without degrees. This is due to the fact that the Minister, in addition to wanting to launch a computer system in a short time, has modified the evaluation of the scores assigned to teachers, de facto de-valuing the experience in school and overestimating academic qualifications. The precarious, fathers and mothers, see at risk a job that, however precarious, has always been recognized by colleagues and institutions. Added to this is that, as a result of two contrary notes from the Regional Directorate of Schools, by order of the Ministry, the Directors of Schools received the mandate to summon new (incorrect) classifications with a release clause.

At the same time, the Provincial Scholastic Office that Bussetti administers issued a contrary norm in the content that reported the date of September 23 as the day of probable publication of the correct rankings. All this has led managers, secretariats and teachers to panic who, in a real regulatory vacuum, appeal to unions incapable of giving concrete answers. On September 18, we released the correct primary and child GPS, but now some users are already reporting new bugs. In the last hours, many testimonies of missing chairs have been collected in the list proposed by the office of the territorial school of Milan, which forces teachers to collect as much data as possible to quickly report to the competent office and the reference school.

The school in Milan and its province is delaying the normal resumption of teaching activities. This is only part of the problem, while the precarious teachers are still at home waiting for a possible summons and the school is in total disorder due to mismanagement, the Minister takes care of the tests of the computer stations for the competitions, which in full emergency It will not yet be known when they will be done or how they will be done and especially who will be able to do it given the restrictions and possible quarantines of the candidates. But this is another chapter to open …
Minister: “everything to redo”! Meanwhile, Milan is preparing for a mobilization of teachers, students and school personnel. The appointment is set for Friday, September 25 in Largo Cairoli at 9:30 am.
