The new anti-collection ordinance issued today by the president of the Veneto region, Luca Zaia, introduces more restrictive measures regarding the presence of the public in stores.
In all commercial establishments up to 40 square meters of sales area there can be a customer, up to 250 square meters one customer every 20 square meters, over 250 square meters one every 30. In the waiting queues, the separation of at least one meter and the manager is responsible for the control. In case of infringement, the ordinance also provides for the closure of the store.
In supermarkets, only one member per family is allowed, except for the need to accompany non-self-sufficient people or those under 14 years of age. For bars and restaurants, only table service is confirmed from 3pm until closing time. Home delivery of purchases is strongly recommended.
The new ordinance also confirms the obligation to wear a mask everywhere outside the home. Physical and sports activities are allowed only in public parks and open spaces and the prohibition of walking in the historic centers of cities and in places of sea and mountains where there is usually agglomeration is confirmed.
