Clashes in Naples over curfew, 2 arrests - Video

Two people were arrested by the State Police during the riots that took place last night in Naples near the Palazzo Santa Lucia, the headquarters of the Campania Region. They are two 32-year-olds, already known to the police for crimes related to drug trafficking and for carrying illegal weapons, both from the Vasto district. The two were arrested for violence and resistance to a public official.

Naples, the videos of chaos

“What happened last night in Naples is very serious. The aggression against the police and the urban guerrillas unleashed in the streets of the city near the Region are criminal acts. And that is how they will be treated. It is quite clear that it was not a spontaneous protest. But pre-established actions, organized almost entirely by bands of violent fanatics, by criminal circles, also linked to sectors of political extremism, “said the Deputy Minister of the Interior with responsibility for Public Security, Matteo Mauri.

“These are criminals who will answer for what they have done,” he adds, “all the more so because they try to speculate on the difficult situation they are going through, both from the point of view of health and the consequences in the lives of citizens. It will be adequate and proportionate to the seriousness of the events that occurred. Those responsible for these shameful events will be quickly identified. To all the agents involved, to the Naples Police Headquarters, I send my full solidarity. Thanking once again for their dedication, promptness and professionalism with which they knew how to manage the situation ”.

Two bruised officers and numerous police cars damaged the balance of the riots. These are two mobile room officers who suffered bruises, one to the hand and the other to the leg. A carabiniere also reported problems with his right ear due to a large firecracker exploding in the foreground.
