The INPS in its Observatory of Income and Citizens’ Pension reports that Income is paid in November to 1,068,884 households by more than 2.6 million people involved and an average amount of 571 euros, The Citizenship Pension is paid to 140,497 households for 159,705 people involved and an average of 249 euros per month. In total, 1,209,381 families receive the benefit for 278,920 people involved.
More than 60% of the benefits (61.68%) are provided in the South and on the Islands with 745,906 beneficiary families and 1.83 million people involved (561 euros the average amount). If you look at the people involved in Italy, almost two out of three reside in the south and the islands. In the North, the income and the citizenship pension reach a total of 278,097 families for the 559,846 people involved and an average amount of 444 euros. In the Center, the families that the anti-poverty measure reaches are 185-378 for 386,169 people and an average amount of 480 euros.
