On August 24, we sent a new communication to the Scaligeri Palaces to ask them to urgently review the situation of the overpass and to keep an attentive and constant monitoring of the structure. This is a situation where we expect a quick response, both in terms of verification and any maintenance intervention.
The answer comes from the offices of the Province. “We confirm that we have read the communication and we specify that already in 2018 the provincial technicians had carried out an inspection in the same structure, highlighting some critical issues that had been communicated to the Municipality, for information, and to Anas, so that the latter could intervene for the arrangement of the artifact ‘. The critical issues highlighted and documented in 2018, of which Anas and the Municipality are aware, are “the presence of broken rubber gaskets and in some places missing; the presence of cracks in the structure and partial detachment of the veils from the roof; ramps feature deterioration due to sinking of the foundation ”. Based on this, the Province requested Anas “an intervention for the disposal of the artifact.”
Two years have passed since then, but no one has moved. In a recent note, Anas announced that “our staff will conduct a recurring visual monitoring to verify the status of the work in relation to traffic safety on State Highway 434. On the understanding that in-depth analyzes and evaluations on the stability of the work is headed by the Province, which manages the infrastructure. ” Waiting for the planned inspection to take place, Mayor Franzoni stops scaremongering.
