EUGANEO HOSPITAL. Antonio invited 300 people for his birthday. A birthday with style – 63 candles – entrusted to those who have been caring for entertainment with great professionalism for decades. The party, however, is interrupted almost two hours before: in fact, the games and dances are abruptly interrupted by the police, who invite everyone present to leave early. The reason? Anti-Covid restrictions. Which, however, appears to be fully respected. Never mind, birthday ruined and everyone out of the club before midnight.
It takes place in Ospedaletto Euganeo, in the facilities of the well-known restaurant La Mandria (in Baja Padana), where on Wednesday night the good Antonio celebrated his 63 years with a great party. Given the delicate moment, the organization of the event is entrusted to Michele & Michele, historical managers of the Parioli Dancing in Montagnana. Being a ballroom, the Parioli cannot host such appointments (current government regulations expressly prohibit it) that can take place in bars and restaurants. For this reason the spaces of La Mandria are rented.
The number of guests is considerable – 300 in fact – but it is respectful of current regulations, as well as in line with the anti-Covid regulations is the organization of Michele & Michele, Michele Bertocco and Michele Berto. “All those present were” registered “, since the event was in any case by invitation, and all were subjected to controls and anti-Covid practices at the entrance” explains Bertocco “Inside the enclosure there was a distance and 300 people it was divided into two different rooms, obviously very large ».
We eat, joke, play and dance and from time to time the songs of greeting to good Antonio begin. At 11:55 p.m., three carabinieri cars arrive. The organizers show all the permits for the evening, including Siae, but that is not enough: the police invite those present to leave the party. In one room the game of chickpeas is interrupted – they were competing to guess the amount of legumes in a bag – while in the other they are dancing.
The event would not end before 1.30 am. “People understood the situation, but the discontent was evident” continues Bertocco “Before leaving the restaurant, a long applause was dedicated to the birthday boy. So many came to us assuring us that, in case of sanctions, they would gladly have contributed.
On Thursday morning Bertocco and Berto showed up at the barracks and, once again, showed all the necessary documents to certify the regularity of the party and the activities promoted during the evening. “They have not answered us anything, but meanwhile the evening was abruptly interrupted and the poor celebrated had to close prematurely and in such an unpleasant way that beautiful moment” close the organizers.
These days Michele & Michele are waiting for the license that equates the Parioli ballroom (closed from 23 February) as a bar: «In this way we can organize our events in our club. We are also waiting for the new Dpcm, which will bring greater clarity to many points also in terms of events and parties. For example, I know that the limit of people to invite to a party will be established, which must be lowered to 200.
