Carabiniere beaten and killed while running in Capua

Run over and killed by a car while running: he died like this, at age 38, Marshal Antonio Montaquila, originally from Vairano Paternora, in the Caserta area, but on duty at the Formicola carabinieri station, another town in the province of Caserta, where he was deputy commander. The young marshal would have been hit by a car that suddenly went off the road, overwhelmed by him: but the police are working to reconstruct the tragedy in detail.

Antonio Montaquila, according to the first reconstructions, was jogging along the Via Tifatina, the road that from the center of Capua leads to Sant’Angelo in Formis, at around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22. Here, for reasons yet to be determined, the car with two boys on board would go off the road, completely overwhelmed and killing him instantly. Montaquila, 38, leaves behind a wife with two young children. After the accident, the same companions of the young marshal went to the place, crying when they saw the lifeless course of their colleague to the side of the road along the Tifatina road, the artery that leaving from Capua and the Volturno river reaches Sant ‘ Angelo in Formis, at the gates of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. Many on social media are expressing their condolences for the death of the young marshal, well known in the area. Many remember him as a “golden boy” and always available to others, with jogging and soccer as his great passion. It was also the youngest noncommissioned officer of the Capua company: immediate condolences from the Carabinieri.
