(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, 02 APR – From the social profiles attributable to Noah Green, the Capitol Hill attacker, it appears that the 25-year-old probably suffered from mental disorders. On Facebook and Instagram, the US media reported, he claimed to be afraid of the FBI and the CIA and to be in the crosshairs of the federal government that wanted to take control of his mind. In various positions he also professed to be an admirer and follower of Louis Farrakhan, an 87-year-old Muslim American religious, leader of the Nation of Islam, repeatedly at the center of controversy for some of his speeches considered anti-Semitic, homophobic and misogynistic. Green described Farrakhan as “Jesus the Messiah” and his spiritual father.
A few hours before the attack, the 25-year-old, a finance graduate from Christopher Newport University in Virginia in 2019, declared on Instagram that the United States government is the “number one enemy” of the African-American community. He then wrote in an online biography from his college days that the person in the story he wanted to meet was Malcolm X, and in some posts he signed himself ‘Brother Noah X’.
Among the material published by Green, also a certificate certifying the donation of more than a thousand dollars to the Nation of Islam and the videos of some of Farrakhan’s speeches, one of which is titled ‘The Divine Destruction of America’. “The Minister – Green commented referring to Farrakhan – is here to save me and the rest of humanity, even if it means facing death.” (SORT OUT).
