Due to the increase in Covid infections, both medical and surgical infections have been suspended in public hospitals. A similar measure was decided by the Regional Crisis Unit for outpatient activities in the organs of the National Health Service.
In Campania, due to the increase in Covid infections, scheduled medical and surgical hospitalizations in public hospitals are suspended as of today; a similar provision was decided by the Regional Crisis Unit for outpatient activities in the organs of the National Health Service (with the exception of urgent, as well as dialysis, radiotherapy and oncology-chemotherapy). The note from the Crisis Unit was sent to the general directors of the Local Health Authorities, hospitals, university hospitals, and the ‘Pascale’ Cancer Institute. Only ‘non-deferrable’ urgent hospitalizations can be made and the suspension is valid for all scheduled hospitalizations except for cancer patients (LIVE – CONTAGION MAPS AND GRAPHICS – THE SITUATION IN CAMPANIA).
