Campania is no longer a red zone. A bit of confusion had arisen about the color of the Region yesterday, Thursday, December 3, due to the non-renewal of the Esperanza order that sanctioned the passage to the strip of greatest risk. A day late, also waiting for the data from the latest ISS report, the Ministry of Health has judged that the epidemiological situation in the Region has improved, so much so that it has become orange from Sunday, December 6.

With the return of RT to values below 1, Campania’s transition to the orange zone was sanctioned. This means that the Region on Sunday, December 6, will abandon the strict rules that limit travel and activities.
The transition to the orange zone means that the citizens of Campania will not need self-certification to leave the municipality residence or domicile, non-essential commercial activities may be reopened and face-to-face teaching will be reopened for first grade schools.
Bars and restaurants are closed, even if it’s always it is allowed to wear until 10 pm. Regarding shopping centers and curfews, the rules in force throughout Italy apply.
Red regions when color changes?
The new weekly monitoring ofHigher Institute of Health, as widely anticipated, indicated a more favorable epidemiological situation. However, the color change of Campania and the other regions will not be sudden.
The last order of Roberto Speranza had established that Campania and the other Regions would be in the red zone at least until December 3. However, the expiration of the period indicated in the Ministry’s provision does not, apparently, imply the automatic promotion of one color to another.
The Ministry’s ordinance, in fact, will take effect from Sunday, December 6.
Until then, red zone regulations, such as non-essential activity closures and moving restrictions, will remain in effect.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte was positive, speaking at the press conference to illustrate the new Dpcm. According to the prime minister, in fact, within a couple of weeks there will be no more red or orange regions. This as long as the current trend is maintained. At the moment, Conte said, the national RT is again below the value of 1.
