As Call of Duty Warzone approaches its second anniversary, developers are looking to add features with each passing week. The relatively new Battle Royale title has captured a large share of the market share. Consequently, Infinity Ward strives to meet the increasing demands of its growing users. It is never easy for developers to satisfy their user base as a whole. However, Infinity Ward and Raven Software are surely trying. In an interview with GamerGen.com, developers Taylor Kurosaki and Amos Hodge of IW and RS respectively opened up about the entire Trios and DUos situation.
Warzone started operating in March 2020. At launch, the only way to play Battle Royale was with Trios mode. Soon after, however, the developers dropped the mode to make way for Quads mode, where you play in a four-member squad. That move, however, annoyed most of the user base, which was not contained in expressing disappointment. Surprisingly, the developers quickly jumped into action and regained popular mode.
Call of Duty Warzone will soon have duets
When you have a user base of over 50 million players, not everyone is likely to be happy at all times. So when a part of the community started requesting a Duos mode, the developers weren’t really surprised. Amos Hodge of Raven Software voiced his thoughts on Duos mode.
“We had Duos in Looting, but I’m not sure where Duos is, we have some bugs to fix with Duos. But we are listening to the community. Then we will get to a place where we add Duos in the future. There is no exact time I can give you for Now, but Duos is coming. You’ve seen Plunder, but there are things we have to figure out, find the right time, and everything in between. “
Those are some encouraging words for players who are desperate for Duos mode. Hodge has more or less confirmed that it will be a reality soon.
Infinity Ward’s narrative director also talked about the mode, explaining that it’s never an easy task serving users, but they like to try it anyway.
“When you add Quads, people say” Where are the trios? “And then you go to Trios and they say” Where’s the Quads? “Everyone wants to play the game in a slightly different way, which is really cool and exciting, so we’re trying to figure out what the standard modes are and what they are. the modes that work best in no time, mixing it kind of situation. “
That leaves little doubt in our minds that developers are working hard to deliver exactly what the community wants.
While there have been plenty of reasons for players to be unhappy with certain issues that bother Call of Duty Warzone, you can’t deny that the developers are working hard on that.
