They were on the beach by chance, enjoying the mild temperatures of this September summer. Two lifeguards from the Riccione Cooperative, Oscar Raggini and Paolo Cangini, were involved in an unexpected rescue operation, near bathroom 116 in Riccione, of two children. An episode that reopens the debate on the need to extend the service beyond mid-September: without the accidental passage of lifeguards, the two young men would have run the risk of drowning, given the prohibitive maritime conditions, due to the wind. The events occurred this afternoon (Friday, September 18): Raggini and Cangini were alarmed when they saw a couple, a boy and a girl, in difficulties. However, the couple managed to return to shore. In contrast, two other young men were having obvious difficulties, one of whom started drinking. The cry for help was heard, picked up by Raggini and Cangini, who took the emergency fly, which was delivered to the spa, helping the swimmers and taking them back to shore. The intervention was concluded with the help of Christian Parma, son of the owner of the beach establishment 116.
