Maybe someone has come across a shocking little pink sticker that has been covering Cesena’s walls for the past few days. A somewhat cryptic sticker depicting a faceless woman with the word Marina on her forehead. Here is that sticker dedicated to a particular woman, to whom Sandri, a young musician from Cesena, directed a song that will be released on official online channels on December 18. Michele Alessandri, aka Sandri, 24 years old, from a very young age tackled music by playing the bass in a self-taught way, until studying classical double bass at the Cesena Conservatory. Emerging solo artist, for years he played in Cesena’s group “So long”.
Now, as a soloist, he has in production a series of singles of all kinds by composer and Itpop. The first to come out is “Marina” who talks about a “woman who smells of salt, with glass eyes, fair skin and her hair is foam and waves”. Marina is not a woman of flesh and blood, but she speaks of her love for the sea, a passion that all the people of Romagna have for the coast and for the nocturnal charm of this vast expanse with a heart of sand that easily melts. A look of the sun that soon turns into moonlit nights ”. The single ‘Marina’ was recorded and produced entirely in Cesena, at the StoneBridge Studio, by Andrea Cola and Sandri. Tommy Graziani on drums and Gianni Perinelli on sax collaborated on the song’s performance.
They also recorded and collaborated in the creation of the next songs: Fabio Tozzi and Simone Cavina on drums, Alfredo Nuti and Giuseppe Bonomo on guitars, Matteo Salvatori on percussion and Jacopo Casadei on bass and keyboards. The single Marina was mixed by Andrea Cola and mastered by Eleven Mastering (Busto Arsizio).
