No penalty in classification. This is undoubtedly the main and unexpected novelty that emerged from the Federal Court ruling on the Lazio mattress issue.. A story that pointed the finger at the biancoceleste company – accused of having violated the anti-Covid protocol between October and November – in addition to President Lotito and doctors Pulcini and Rodia.
The official ruling of the Federal Court decreed a fine of 150,000 euros for the company, with 7 months of inhibition for the president and 12 for the doctors. A decision that saves
Claudio Lotito who, in addition to being number one biancoceleste, is also a federal councilor as a representative of the Serie A League. And if he had accumulated 12 months of inhibition in 10 years, in fact, the position would have ceased to exist.
In Lotito’s antecedents are the two months of inhibition in August 2012 for the investigation agentopoli linked to the transfer of players.
DOUBLE CALLING – A phrase that, however, leaves no one entirely happy. Starting from the Prosecutor’s Office, which in the morning had requested a fine of 200,000 euros for the company, a precautionary measure of 13 months and ten days for Lotito and a precautionary measure of 16 months for the two doctors. Through a note the same Federal Prosecutor’s Office announces that – “although satisfied with the conclusion of the accusatory system – as soon as the reasons are published, it will appeal to the Federal Court since the sanctions imposed do not fully reflect those required before the TFN. “The same occurs with the Lazio, which through its official website has promised “that it will appeal these decisions.” The goal of the biancoceleste club is total acquittal: the second round is played on appeal.
