(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 13 – “It is time for the British government to assume its responsibilities. The international credibility of the United Kingdom is at stake.” European Council President Charles Michel wrote this on Twitter after a phone conversation with Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin, inviting London to “fully implement” the Brexit deal. Meanwhile, British Justice Minister Robert Buckland is ready to resign if London disrupts the Brexit agreement signed with Brussels in an “unacceptable” way, thus violating international law: he himself told the BBC while he remains. Pressure is high in Downing Street for planned legislation that would cancel parts of the country’s exit agreement from the European Union. (HANDLE).
