There are 2,127 (yesterday 1,692) new positive cases of coronavirus in Emilia-Romagna, but in a smaller number of swabs: 10,861. In the last 24 hours, 15,906 swabs had been processed and, in fact, today the percentage of positive swabs rises to 19.6%.
In the province of Bologna there are 458 new cases, 76 in the Imola area, unfortunately there are another 65 deaths, 16 of which in the Bolognese area. Admissions are stable.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Emilia-Romagna, 163,290 positive cases have been registered, 2,127 more than yesterday, out of a total of 10,861 swabs made in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives over the number of swabs made since yesterday is 19.6%.
The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 976 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, 469 of the new positives were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 700 were identified within known foci.
The average age of new positives today is 47.2 years. Of the 976 asymptomatic, 502 were identified through contact tracing, 107 through tests by risk categories introduced by the Region, 21 through serological tests, 10 through pre-hospital tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 336 cases.
These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of institutional requests – related to the evolution of the epidemic in the region.
In the last 24 hours, 10,861 swabs were made, for a total of 2,496,457. To these are added 262 serological tests and 2,500 quick swabs performed since yesterday.
As for the total number of people cured, they are 381 more than yesterday and reach 96,910.
Active cases, that is, actual patients, to date are 58,980 (+1,681 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, are a total of 56,063 (+1,683), 95% of all active cases.
Deaths and hospitalizations
Unfortunately, there are 65 new deaths: eight in Piacenza (four women, respectively, 58, 68, 72 and 86 years old and four men aged 55, 70, 72, 79 years); three in the province of Parma (all women of 78, 91 and 99 years old), a single case in the province of Reggio Emilia (a man of 76 years).
In the area of Modena 10 deaths (six women of 68, 85, 87, 94, 96 and 97 years old and four men: two of 80, one of 87 and one of 88 years).
There are 16 new deaths in the province of Bologna (nine women of 78, 80, 82, 85, 86, two of 89, one of 90 and one of 96, and seven men: one of 47, one of 69 years, two of 79 years, the other 82, 90 and 99 years respectively).
Nine in the province of Ravenna (seven women of 80, 89, 92, 93, 94 and two of 95 and two men, respectively, of 72 and 91 years old; three in Forlì-Cesena (all in the Forlì area: one woman 95 years old and two men, respectively 75 and 77 years old); 15 in the Rimini area: five men (61, 82, 84 and two 92 years old) and 10 women (respectively 81, 84, 90, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 99 and 101 years) No death in the Ferrara area.
In total, there have been 7,400 deaths in the region since the start of the epidemic. There are 206 patients admitted to intensive care (+5 compared to yesterday), 2,711 those from the rest of the Covid departments (-7).
In the area, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 14 in Piacenza (unchanged compared to yesterday), 11 in Parma (-1 compared to yesterday), 16 in Reggio Emilia (-1 compared to yesterday), 45 in Modena (no change), 52 in Bologna (+1), 5 in Imola (no change), 21 in Ferrara (+5 compared to yesterday), 19 in Ravenna (no change), 3 in Forlì (no change), 1 in Cesena (no change) and 19 in Rimini (+1).
Cases province by province
The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 458 new cases, followed by Modena (363), Rimini (235), Ravenna (194), Reggio Emilia (168), Cesena (156), Ferrara (155), Piacenza ( 124).
Then the province of Parma (124), Imola (76) and finally Forlì (74).
These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made.
