The premier emphasizes: “The school also suffers from structural deficiencies that we have been dragging for years aggravated by the current pandemic.”
The Prime Minister’s appeal to students: “You must do your part, you must commit to respecting the rules of precaution that will allow you to protect your health and the health of the people you love and who love you.” Again: “This back to school is really important. Dear students, I wish you to face and live the school year with confidence and enthusiasm: commit to studying, you will improve ”.
The Prime Minister continues: “On Monday we go back to school in most of Italy. The school is the beating heart of the country, a particularly valuable welcome place. It welcomes you, stimulates you, accompanies you in the processes of personal and cultural growth. All projects for a better future are concentrated in the school. Go back to school not only to learn the notions of textbooks, but you will also learn to communicate better, to dialogue, to deal with those who think differently. School allows you to cultivate the dreams that you will make come true as adults ”.
There is also a personal passage: “On Monday we go back to school. I extend a wish to the students, teachers, school staff. It will be a moment of intense emotion. It is an emotion that I will also experience as the head of a government committed to a return to security but also as a father ”.
And thanks to teachers and principals: “Greetings to the teachers: you have made an extraordinary effort in these months of confinement to continue teaching with distance learning, it was not easy at all and yet you have done a great job and for that we are grateful. . I also thank the families, mothers, fathers who have made many sacrifices. Thanks also to those in charge and to all the school staff: in these summer months you have not stopped for a moment, you have worked hard to be prepared for the reopening. We will be with all of you, we will be by your side and we will continue to be in the coming days and months ”.
