The regional working group reports that 483 tests for Covid infection were carried out yesterday, May 8 – 19 of which 3 were positive.
Positive swabs affect the following municipalities:
1 Lauria
2 Grassano
5 people were healed yesterday.
With this update, there are 143 cases of contagion currently active throughout the region.
Yesterday there were 145 to which we must add today’s 3 positives and subtract the five recovered.
To the 143 positives must be added a total of 27 deceased people (9 from Potenza, 2 from Paterno, 1 from Spinoso, 1 from Moliterno, 1 from Villa d’Agri, 2 from Rapolla, 1 from Irsina, 1 from Montemurro, 1 from Pisticci, 2 from Matera, 1 from San Costantino Albanese, 2 from Avigliano, 1 from Tursi, 1 from Aliano, 1 from Bernalda), 215 recovered, 1 patient from Gravina di Puglia found by ASM, 1 patient from Padula found by San Carlo and 8 patients diagnosed in other regions, who reside in Basilicata, where they are in home isolation.
Since the beginning of the health emergency, 17,916 swabs have been analyzed, of which 17,512 were negative.
Currently, the patients admitted to the hospital structures in Lucania (San Carlo hospital and Madonna delle Grazie hospital) are divided as follows: San Carlo hospital: infectious diseases 10, intensive care 0, pulmonology 6; Madonna delle Grazie Hospital: infectious diseases 27, intensive care 1, pulmonology 2.
There are 97 Lucanians in home isolation.
Aside from the Task Force data, something is still wrong. There would be at least another couple of cases whose verification results were inconsistent with the first reports. It would be a negative case at the Villa d’Agri hospital and then a positive result at the Potenza hospital, and a first positive case and then a negative one at Accettura.
