(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 27 – The disturbance of Atlantic origin that approaches Italy will bring strong winds and snowfall in the coming hours even to the plains of the north-central regions and, later, in the south of the country.
According to available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a meteorological alert predicting hurricane-force winds in Sardinia from today and the early hours of tomorrow in Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, in extension to Campania, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily. Also, snowfall is expected tomorrow in the plains of Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, the autonomous province of Trento, Friuli Venezia Giulia, the interior of Liguria and Emilia-Romagna. The Department also evaluated an orange alert in part of Emilia-Romagna and Gargano in Puglia for tomorrow. (HANDLE).
