SITUATION – The bad weather phase continues in much of our Peninsula, still fighting against an intense e deep depression circulation in France. The latter, deepening further towards the central Mediterranean, is determining the entry of cold Mistral currents into the western Italian basins. In contrast, along the eastern edge of the depression, humid and unstable southern currents feed an intense and extensive disturbance extending from Sicily to the northeastern regions, bringing locally strong showers and thunderstorms. All of this is still accompanied by strong winds and storm surge. Let’s see the details for Sunday:
ITALY TIME SUNDAY: About him next hours Bad weather will hit especially in lower Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania and central-west Sicily, as well as in the extreme northeast with even strong thunderstorms and local storms. It still rains in the rest of the Center, as well as in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and part of Sicily.
In the afternoon the bad weather will move to the regions of the south of the peninsula, hit by storms, even strong ones, while the rains and showers will continue to affect the northeast but also the center, diminishing only in the northwest of Tuscany; snow in the north central Apennines of 1000-1200 m; 900/1200 m to the Northeast.
In the afternoon the last intense phenomena will affect Salento, part of Calabria and southern Sicily, as well as Friuli; while dispersed phenomena are still expected in the Tyrrhenian, the Marches and near the alpine and pre-alpine reliefs, snowed there from 700-1200 m.
