(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 25 – A worsening of the meteorological conditions is looming in the northern regions, extending from the afternoon also towards the center-south, with snowfalls to low altitudes in the center, storms on the slopes from the south of the Tyrrhenian and a decided reinforcement of the winds in Sardinia. This was announced by Civil Protection, which issued for tomorrow, Saturday December 26, a yellow alert in 11 regions: Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily.
Starting tonight, snowfall is expected at altitudes above 400-600 meters in Abruzzo and Umbria and at altitudes above 600-800 meters in Sardinia. Precipitation is also expected, even if it is a downpour or storm, in Campania, Basilicata and Calabria, especially on the slopes of the Tyrrhenian. Storm winds are expected in Sardinia, with storm surges along the coasts. (HANDLE).
