Mountaineers saved in the Gran Paradiso
They were recovered by helicopter and downstream ducts i two dutch climbers which had been blocked since Friday at the Grappein bivouac, in the Gran Paradiso massif, some 3,100 meters above sea level. The crew doctor examined them: they are both in good health. The operation was carried out taking advantage of a slight decrease in the force of the snowstorm and the high wind. The pilot managed to bring a team of technicians from the Aosta Valley mountain rescue to an altitude of 2,900 meters. From that point on, the rescuers managed to reach the bivouac by land and return the two mountaineers to the glacier level (at an altitude of 2,900 meters), which were later recovered by helicopter.
Dizzying temperatures

The snowfall limit has dropped to 1600 meters and in Bielmonte the forecasts speak of a possible liming in the next few hours.
