The wave of bad weather that is hitting Veneto, and which has already caused serious damage in several areas of the region, remains a concern, although forecasts point to an improvement.
Between today, Tuesday, December 8, and part of tomorrow, Wednesday, December 9, the weather will remain mostly disturbed with generalized rains in moderate / heavy sections with local showers or isolated thunderstorms and generally constant amounts, locally also abundant in the areas of eastern mountain / foothills and on the northeastern plain / coast where events may be more persistent. Snowfalls averaging over 600/800 m in the Dolomites and around 900/1100 m in the Pre-Alps. Tendency to the definitive and general exhaustion of the phenomena from the afternoon / night of Wednesday, December 9.
On the basis of this framework, the functional decentralized center for civil protection of the Veneto region has issued a new bulletin, valid until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10. Orange Alert (Pre-alarm status) is declared in the Alto Piave, Piave Pedemontano, Alto Brenta-Bacchiglione-Alpone, Lower Brenta-Bacchiglione, Livenza-Lemene-Tagliamento river basins. In the other basins, the alert status descends to yellow (attention state).
