Bad weather, dead sisters in the camp. Two Suspects – Chronicle

Massa Carrara, September 1, 2020 – Two warranty notices in the context ofinvestigation into the deaths of Malak and Janna Lassiri, the two sisters aged 14 and 3, resident in Turin, killed last Sunday by a poplar that fell on the tent where they slept with their relatives in Camping Verde Mare in Marina di Massa (Massa Carrara).

As it has been known to register in the suspect register, it would have been the two partners from the same campsite. Just tomorrow theautopsy of the two sisters, ordered by the prosecutor that investigates for murder and bodily injury. Today, instead, an initial inspection of the agronomist appointed by the Prosecutor’s Office was carried out to verify the causes of the plant’s failure. Investigators want to verify if the landslide was caused only by the strong wind that affected the area last Sunday or if the plant was already sick.

The agronomist entered the camp to analyze the roots of the poplar and its foliage, check how stable it was, if it had been sick, dry and if the last pruning was well done. In the coming days, based on what has been learned, an inspection of at least one other party adviser should also be conducted at the camp.
