The case concerns the American school in Bagno a Ripoli (Florence), which has already reopened. The Tuscan edition of La Repubblica reports it
“There is a class on the ground floor, of an elementary school, located at home in isolation at home in Tuscany. An 8-year-old third-grade boy tested positive for coronavirus. After the epidemiological investigation, the health company rebuilt the student’s close contacts, as foreseen in the ISS document.
So the whole class was placed at home, along with two teachers.
It will take two weeks during which time someone will be watched for symptoms. However, at the end of the isolation period a swab will be done, as expected for weeks in Tuscany, just to make sure there is no infection.
Other student contacts should also remain isolated.
