“I can confirm the will of the government to reopen. We would have liked to do it in December, but we postponed it at the request of the Regions: now it’s time to go back to school ”.

“School is a fundamental public service, it is not possible to continue sacrificing children or think that distance education can replace face-to-face teaching”. Then the Minister of Education Lucia azzolina in an interview with ‘Fatto Quotidiano’.

Given the increase in infections, the minister assures that the line of prudence will be followed “It is clear, however, that if at this time the contagion curve is increasing, it cannot be the fault of the institutes, since they have been closed for two months.”

Regarding the sacrifices, by Azzolina ”The school has done its part. If new containment measures are needed, now they must be sought in other sectors ”.

Regarding the debate on the circulation of the virus among students, for Azzolina “The studies on infections in schools are there, but they exclude that they are decisive. The European Center for Disease Control (Ecdc, ed) has made it clear that the reopening has not triggered the second wave ”.

Back to school on January 7: only for the yellow band regions, hypothesis under study. Who is left out. Not growing up, but Conte doesn’t give up
